Privacy Policy

Summary

Vamp It's core functionality — importing audio, transcribing, looping, cropping, checkpoints — is entirely on-device. There are no user accounts, no ads, and no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs. The app does talk to a couple of outside services for specific, limited purposes: processing the optional Vamp It Premium purchase, and (on our website, not in the app itself) handling the "Get early access" sign-up form. Both are described below.

What the app does with your data

The web demo

The free web demo at app.vampit.app works the same way as the mobile app: any audio file you open is processed entirely in your browser and stored only in that browser's local storage. Nothing is uploaded to a server.

Purchases (Vamp It Premium)

The optional Vamp It Premium unlock is a one-time purchase processed through Apple's App Store or Google Play Billing, using RevenueCat as the service that manages the purchase and keeps track of your entitlement (i.e., that you've unlocked Premium). RevenueCat receives purchase/transaction information and an anonymous device/app identifier — never your name or payment details. Apple/Google process the payment itself directly; Vamp It and RevenueCat never see your card number or other payment details. See RevenueCat's privacy policy and Apple's/ Google's own privacy policies for how each of them separately handles this data.

The "Get early access" form

If you sign up for early access or launch updates on this site, that submission is handled by Netlify (specifically, Netlify Forms), which receives and stores what you enter — your name, email address, and which platform(s) you use. We use it only to reach out about testing or launch, and it's not sold, shared for marketing, or combined with anything else. This applies to this website, not the app itself, which has no sign-up form of its own.

Permissions

The mobile app requests microphone/audio-related permissions solely to play back audio you've imported (including background playback). It does not record or transmit audio from your microphone.

Data retention and deletion

The app itself has no account or server-side data to delete, since nothing you do inside it ever leaves your device. For the two exceptions above: purchase/entitlement records are retained by RevenueCat and Apple/Google per their own retention policies; if you've submitted the early-access form, you can ask us to delete that info at any time using the contact info below.

Children's privacy

Vamp It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children — the app collects nothing on its own, and the purchase flow only ever exchanges anonymous, purchase-related information. If an early-access form submission is ever found to include a child's personal information, we'll delete it on request.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change too.
